This prestigious accolade recognizes restaurants around the globe for their outstanding wine programs and unwavering commitment to quality.

La Corona is one of only two restaurants in Puerto Vallarta to receive this distinction in 2025, earning praise for its thoughtfully curated wine list that perfectly complements its culinary offerings in both style and price.

Launched in 1981, Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Awards program is the only awards initiative in the world exclusively focused on excellence in wine service within the restaurant industry. The program includes three levels of recognition: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence, and Grand Award. In 2025, a total of 2,010, 1,704, and 97 restaurants received each distinction, respectively.
The Award of Excellence, earned by La Corona, is given to restaurants whose wine lists present a well-chosen selection of quality producers, demonstrating harmony with the restaurant’s menu in both style and pricing.
