Unidos en la Musica: A Latin American Festival: A full day of Latin culture with live music, food, dance and fun. On May 4, we are all Latinos. And there’s no better place to share the joy and spirit of the Latin American culture than with some of the best international, local and regional musical groups around.
Romanza Festivale: The Count Basie Orchestra: St. Augustine’s Romanza Festivale of Music and The Arts returns in 2024 with two weeks of daily events featuring dozens of concerts, shows, exhibits, and much more at locations throughout the city. Showcasing productions by dozens of St. Augustine’s talented Arts and Cultural nonprofit organizations. Held from May 3-19 in “America’s Most Romantic City,” most events are free. The headliner is the legendary Count Basie Orchestra, who will perform on Sunday, May 12.
St. Augustine Food & Wine Festival: Prepare your taste buds for a culinary adventure at the St. Augustine Food & Wine Festival, scheduled from May 8-12. Indulge in delectable offerings from top chefs, savor exquisite wines from local vineyards, and immerse yourself in the vibrant culinary scene of St. Augustine against the backdrop of its picturesque landscapes.
St. Augustine History Festival: The St. Augustine History Festival celebrates the “Nation’s Oldest City” with five days of activities at historical sites throughout the town. Held May 8-12, historical venues throughout downtown St. Augustine and on Anastasia Island host special activities and events. Participating venues include the Castillo de San Marcos, the Tolomato Cemetery, Father Miguel O’Reilly House Museum, National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, Colonial Quarter, Fort Mose, Flagler College, Florida National Guard Museum and National Cemetery, Fountain of Youth, Governor’s House Cultural Center and Museum, Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, Peña Peck House, Spanish Military Hospital, Oldest House Museum, St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, and Ximenez-Fatio House Museum.
Sunflower and Tomato Festival 2024: Wesley Wells Farms welcomes visitors to their annual festival, celebrating the sunflower and the tomato. Held May 11, visitors will find activities such as a kids zone, salsa tasting contest, handmade market, live entertainment, food trucks, and other family-focused activities. Guests can pick their own produce or flowers, and purchase produce that’s been picked from Wesley Wells Farms.
As If! The ’90s Fest: Presented by Ancient City Entertainment, St. Augustine’s As If! ’90s Fest celebrates ’90s nostalgia on Saturday, May 18. The festival supports Ace Alliance, a non-profit organization passionate about entertainment, tourism, and hospitality. All the trappings of the ’90s will be part of this celebration of the decade, including a fly photo booth and water slide. Food trucks will be on hand at this family-friendly event, as well.
Game On! St. Augustine Beach Triathlon: Triathletes take their mark on May 19 for the annual St. Augustine Beach Triathlon. This destination race will include an Olympic distance triathlon, duathlon, and aqua bike, as well as the Sprint Triathlon and Sprint Duathlon.
St. Augustine Music Festival: Kickstarting the summer vibes, the St. Augustine Music Festival promises to set the stage on fire with electrifying performances from local talents and renowned artists alike. Held from June 21-30 at various iconic venues across the city, this festival offers an eclectic mix of genres, ranging from classical to contemporary, ensuring a musical experience like no other.
Fourth of July Fireworks: St. Augustine celebrates America’s birthday at the annual St. Augustine Fourth of July celebration, “Fireworks Over the Matanzas.” Held on July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 pm., the event features a two-hour live music concert, featuring the All Star Orchestra, in the Plaza de la Constitución. At 9:30 p.m., the sky lights up with spectacular fireworks display over the historic Bayfront and the Castillo de San Marcos.
