Portland, Oregon, May 17, 2024.- The state of Nayarit became one of the most popular destinations at this year’s TravelCon with more than 40 meetings with influencers, bloggers, podcasters, vloggers, course creators, freelancers, and more. Participants focused on the niche travel segments of Adventure Travel, Couples Travel, Family Travel, Luxury Travel, LGBTQ+ Travel, Women’s Travel, Culinary/Food, Solo Travel and Cultural/Heritage, all of which are a perfect match for the tourism offerings found in Nayarit.
TravelCon was originally created by popular content creator Nomadic Matt whose writings and advice have been featured in The New York Times, CNN, The Guardian, Lifehacker, Budget Travel, BBC, Time, and countless other publications. Today, TravelCon is the only trade event to focus on the business development of content creators. This year, held in Portland, Oregon, it offered onsite training and presentations to help participants expand their businesses. Destinations from across the globe met with participating content creators via virtual meetings, providing networking opportunities unique to this media.
Nayarit is one of Mexico’s most popular destinations for travel bloggers, content creators, and influencers because of its colorful and visual backgrounds combined with its rich history for varied and authentic content. Destination representatives showcased the destination’s colonial architecture, beaches, culinary scene and Magical Towns in addition to the active possibilities of paragliding, yachting and hiking. Some of the most popular idea was the possibility of hiking the Ceboruco Volcano, photographing the Magical Town of Sayulita and Jala and experiencing the posh life of Riviera Nayarit.
