Nayarit, Mexico — October 15, 2024 — The Ministry of Tourism of Nayarit exhibited at this year’s IMEX América, the largest event on the continent dedicated to the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) segment. Held from October 8 to 10, 2024, the fair took place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The Nayarit delegation – housed in the Mexico Pavilion which this year was twice the size from last year with the inclusion of the Mexican Caribbean, Baja California, Querétaro and Puerto Vallarta, held approximately 100 one-on-one meetings with meeting planners from the United States, Canada, Europe and Latin America, showcasing Nayarit’s tourism offerings including Riviera Nayarit, Punta Mita, the 9  Magical Towns, its rich culinary offering,  and various sports and adventure events such as Ironman and Parasailing and Surfing tournaments.

Presentations were focused on the new airport, highlighting direct connections from San Diego and Tijuana to Tepic. Additionally, land access within the state for incentive travel was promoted and the educational program to become a Nayarit Specialist for travel agents.

Representatives from Delta Hotels Riviera Nayarit and Paradise Village Beach Resort and Spa, each conducted around 50 meetings, presenting their respective offerings and infrastructure for events of all sizes; conversations were initiated for potential events in 2025 and 2026.

During the three days of activities, new global trends for the segment were addressed. The importance of this event to the destination was for qualified buyers from all industry sectors to come to IMEX America to plan and book everything from high-level incentives to large conventions.
