Guests craving an immersive educational experience can join Cala de Mar’s exclusive Mezcal Class, a guided tasting that honors the spirit of Guerrero. Set on the breezy terrace with gorgeous ocean views, this hands-on journey explores mezcal’s regional roots, distillation methods, and diverse flavor profiles.

A board of citrus slices, spices, and sea salts awaits each participant, along with a traditional molcajete to mix personalized salt blends. Guests taste mezcals made from different agave varietals, learning to detect subtle nuances in aroma and taste. The class culminates in a festive Cantarito, a traditional cocktail made with mezcal, fresh citrus juice, grapefruit soda, and a tajin-sprinkled rim, served in a handcrafted clay cup.
