
Los Angeles, California, April 1th, 2026 – Riviera Nayarit joined the Los Angeles Lakers in celebrating the team’s qualification for the National Basketball Association playoffs, marking the conclusion of a successful season-long series of joint activations. The final event took place April 12 during the matchup against the Utah Jazz.
As part of the closing activities, Riviera Nayarit hosted the “Lakers Live Experience,” engaging directly with fans through interactive dynamics, branded content and on-site presence. Ahead of the game, the destination operated a fan-focused booth offering promotional items and travel information, reinforcing its positioning in one of its key U.S. markets.

During halftime, Nayarit took part in the Fan Appreciation Day by awarding a trip to Riviera Nayarit as part of the on-court shooting contest. In addition, content creators invited by the destination attended the game and participated in an exclusive on-court experience, with pregame access for content production.
These efforts are part of a broader strategy positioning Riviera Nayarit as the official Lakers destination in Mexico, integrating tourism promotion with high-impact experiences within professional sports.
