
ACAPULCO, Mexico – May 04, 2026 — The state of Nayarit showcased continued tourism growth, investment momentum and expanded global positioning during the 50th edition of Tianguis Turístico México 2026, securing key agreements, industry recognition and more than 2,300 business appointments with domestic and international buyers.
Led by Tourism Secretary Juan Enrique Suárez del Real Tostado and backed by the administration of Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, the destination advanced a strategic agenda centered on connectivity, product development and international partnerships.

Investment, partnerships drive growth
Nayarit was recognized as the Mexican state with the highest tourism investment volume, underscoring strong private-sector confidence. Key agreements announced during the show included:
A memorandum of understanding with CONCANACO
Strategic meetings with global investors, including RIU Hotels & Resorts
Partnerships with PROVINO
Launch of a professional training platform in collaboration with CENEVAL

Air access, infrastructure expansion
Officials highlighted infrastructure upgrades designed to support demand growth, including a new airport terminal project to strengthen airlift and passenger capacity. The state also introduced a co-branded campaign with Volaris aimed at boosting accessibility and visitation.

Awards and product recognition
Nayarit earned multiple honors at the “Lo Mejor de México 2026” awards, including recognition for luxury and wellness experiences, emerging beaches and cultural routes. Additional accolades came from México Desconocido, Excelencias and other national tourism bodies.
The destination also received a national innovation award for its coasteering experience at Mirador del Toro, reinforcing its positioning in adventure and nature-based tourism.

At the Mexico Screen forum, Nayarit promoted its diverse landscapes and production-ready infrastructure to the film industry. Officials also announced upcoming events, including the Riviera Nayarit Half Marathon and an expanded sports calendar designed to drive year-round demand.
