Riviera Nayarit Shines at Vancouver International Travel Expo

VANCOUVER, B.C. (Sept. 21, 2025) — Riviera Nayarit and the state of Nayarit showcased their world-class tourism offerings at the 8th Annual Vancouver International Travel Expo, one of the city’s largest consumer travel shows featuring more than 200 destinations worldwide.

The participation is part of the “Fly to Nayarit, Connect with Mexico” campaign, a strategic initiative led by Gov. Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero to boost the destination’s visibility in the Canadian market. With a new direct flight from Vancouver to Riviera Nayarit International Airport set to launch this winter, officials emphasized the growing accessibility of Nayarit for Canadian travelers.

“As our air connectivity expands, Canadians will find it easier than ever to experience the unmatched beauty, culture, and hospitality of Nayarit,” said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism of Nayarit.

As the official Mexican tourism destination of the Vancouver Canucks and Rogers Arena, Nayarit continues to strengthen ties with Vancouver through sports, culture, and tourism initiatives.

During the Travel Expo, the Nayarit delegation was joined by luxury partners Conrad Punta de Mita and Paradise Village Beach Resort & Spa. The group engaged directly with travel advisors and consumers, while also holding strategic meetings with industry leaders from Ensemble, IGLTA, ACTA, Air Canada, and WestJet.

Beyond the expo floor, Nayarit marked a cultural milestone with the donation of a handcrafted Wixárika jaguar artwork to the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia. The piece, accepted by Museum Director Dr. Susan Rowley, will now form part of the museum’s permanent collection, further symbolizing the cultural connection between Nayarit and Vancouver. With more than 200 miles of Pacific coastline, luxury hospitality offerings, and increasing air connectivity, Riviera Nayarit continues to position itself as Mexico’s Pacific Treasure, a destination Canadians will find easier than ever to explore.
